Child and family project
Child and family section, PPSEAWA (Pan Pacific South Fast Asia Woman Association-Thailand) together with the committee of Wat Pai-ngern community, set up "A promotion of juvenile potential project" which aim at training youth in the intense sub-standard urbanized community to effectively spend their free time, to cultivate reading habit and build up sense of responsibility for their ownselves, their community and their society.
The Evaluation at the end of the project found that youth who had joined the project turned out with the sense of more responsibilities for themselves and for the community such as severing type of garbages before throwing it in the bin, avoid using polyurethane, foam, spending more time for reading. Moreover, after training program on drug hazard they told the teacher that they would ask their family members to completely quit smoking.
Child and family section, PPSEAWA, in collaboration with Nestle (Thailand) Co., Ltd, organized a "One Day Meeting 1999Children, The Family and Health" under the topic "What it takes to give children long life" intend to help promoting better understanding among family members and to adapt themselves to the development of their mind and caring for their health and quality of food. The target group was 40 people, from substandard home families, 50 youth age between 12-16 and 10 analysts, by having physician, nurse, nutritionist, psychiatrist and psychologist as speakers.
Child and family section together with Nonsri-Withaya High School, arranged the training for teachers under the topic of" How method of E.Q. teaching benefits the student. "The target group consisted of 150 teachers, to guide them to foster students to realise self-esteem, and to be able to choose appropriate path and way of life with E.Q. and refrain from all allurements and temptation.
Child and family section joined with Srisangwallya School arranged a "Self-Esteem" project for 223 students in order to advise them to adapt with their physical development, emotion and society change. Mso, advise them on how to adapt and properly confront problems by choosing the suitable means. At the same time, they arranged the training for teachers under the topic of " How method of E.Q. teaching benefits the students."
Child and family section joined with mathayom 6 (grade 12) high schools, arranged a training for mathayom 6 (grade 12) student under the topic of "Think ahead and reach that goal" in order to achieve their goals in life, understand their roles, able to adapt and confront problems through proper means, and to be able to develop them to become a qualified human resource in the future.
Child and family section together with the Public Health Center 3 Bangsue, visited pre-school children at Child Care Center "Bantoy" under the patronage of our association to give them Schooling materials, lunch, gift bags and donate money to the Public Health 3 Bangsue to buy supplemental food for children at "Bantoy" Child Care Center every month.
