Women, The Family And Health

Buenos Aires Day 1, Friday April 7, 2000

The 100th Anniversary dinner celebration of the Council of Women in Argentina. Cristina de la Vega, Germaine Bosch, and Shirley Munyan receive congratulations from those assembled.

Welcome by Cristina de la Vega

Shirley Munyan brought greetings from the International Council of Women:

"Good morning to all. Most wonderful of all, we have representatives from 9 countries with us on the podium today to participate in this workshop and many outstanding speakers on the topic of Women, the Family and Health. The first national Council of Women was formed in 1888. This year the National Council of Argentina celebrates a century of work. When the International Council meets in Helsinki, Finland in July of this year, we hope to see many of you there."
