Women, The Family And Health

Women are the core and pillars of the family. The physical, mental and psychological health of each member is essential to all. We reached consensus that the promotion of a woman’s well-being is the solution to the ills of society. We covered the most pressing issues affecting women’s lives and by extension those of the entire family. The gravity and urgency of the elimination of all kinds of violence against women and children was pressed by all the participants. The issues of food safety, prevention of infectious diseases, environmental factors of health and HIV/AIDS were discussed by experts in the field.

The unanimous strategy for a plan of action included:

Empowerment of women with education, technical skills, enhanced self-worth and economic independence will lead toward equality and full participation life. Training programs in the following areas need to be established in order to empower women to be the primary care giver and health provider for the family:

This very informative seminar on “The Family, Women and Health” has been well attended and well designed. We must congratulate the organizers and hosts.
