PPSEAWA New Zealand received a COVID-19 Relief Grant from PPSEAWA International in October 2020. They divided the award between their two local chapters to go to their programs for vulnerable women and children.

The Wellington Area Group purchased art supplies for the art therapy program for children in the Women’s Refugees Living without Violence Program. They also funded a program for all 50 residents of a Wellington Resthome on COVID-19 Lockdown. PPSEAWA NZ President Marianne Bishop made a speech recognising International Day of Older Persons and paying tribute to the contribution that the elderly have made to their families and society.

The Auckland Area Group looks after young mothers and their babies. They knitted and sewed baby blankets, and donated items like bibs.
